What a beautiful and poignant reflection for my artistic journey and the personal significance of the piece! It’s clear that this painting is not just an artwork, but a symbol of resilience, love, and the importance of positivity, especially during challenging times.
This piece was painted for a dear friend, commissioned years ago I kept putting it off. What she requested was a traditional feel good poster vibe that made you smile when you entered her office. Well, this is the piece I ended up painting. I couldn’t replicate her request but I was compelled to create this piece this way! Using techniques I’ve never tried and fading the phrase in the background ever so lightly, you can barely see it!
“Today is a good day to have a great day”
My ability to blend the bouquet with the soft, almost hidden phrase is a powerful metaphor for finding joy in subtle moments, even when life feels overwhelming.
The mantra
“Today is a good day to have a great day”
That to choose love, and joy and rise above temporary discomfort and material loss, we have eachother!
I did not know this beautiful piece would be the last thing I would create in my home. I didn’t know that this piece along with my pajamas, Josh’s toothbrush and Jasper would be the only thing to survive this space. What I did know is I wasn’t leaving that house without it. That if the house came crashing down, which it did, would not swallow the art I have for her.
I don’t know what we will need for the next part of this process but your love has filled our cups and we will continue to pour it over into our community. Prints are available to you. And just remember when things aren’t going your way, world seems at a loss…
